Enroll at Bigfoot Wilderness School
Bigfoot Wilderness School welcomes homeschool students ages 7–12 who are ready for hands-on, outdoor learning.
Our program is designed for children who benefit from active, real-world experiences and who are ready to take responsibility, try new things, and grow through meaningful challenge.
Students attend weekly sessions throughout the program year as part of a consistent group, allowing skills, confidence, and independence to develop over time.
Enrollment is intentionally limited to maintain a safe, supportive, and connected learning environment.
How Enrollment Works
We use a simple application and acceptance process to ensure a strong fit for both students and families.
Applications are reviewed as they are received, and placement is offered based on availability and program fit.
Our goal is to build a positive, focused community where students are prepared to participate fully and families understand the structure and expectations of the program.
Step 1: Submit an Application
Applications are reviewed in the order they are received.
Step 2: Program Review
Each application is carefully reviewed to ensure the program is a good fit for the student and the group.
Some families may be invited to a brief parent call to:
• Review program expectations and routines
• Discuss outdoor readiness and independence
• Answer questions
• Confirm mutual fit
We look for students who show curiosity, willingness to participate, and developing independence with personal gear, lunch, and transitions.
Step 3: Acceptance & Registration
Families who are offered placement will receive:
• Enrollment confirmation
• Registration instructions
• Required forms and policies
• Start-of-year information
A student’s place is secured once registration is completed.
Program Year Commitment
Bigfoot Wilderness School operates on a September–May program-year schedule.
Students enroll for the full program year and attend weekly sessions as part of a consistent group. This structure allows students to build skills progressively and develop confidence through ongoing participation.
Mid-year enrollment may occasionally be offered if space becomes available.
