Program Overview & Structure

Bigfoot Wilderness School LLC is a limited liability company registered in the State of Texas. The program operates as a private, independently owned outdoor education program serving homeschool families and children ages 7–12.

The program is owned and operated by Isabelle Albarelli, who oversees curriculum development, safety practices, staff training, and daily operations.

Bigfoot Wilderness School operates one day per week during the academic year (September–May), with a winter break observed during December and January.

Program sessions take place outdoors on private property in New Waverly, Texas, with access provided by the property owners.

This is a drop-off program. Parents or guardians are responsible for transportation to and from the program site. Families are expected to follow all posted driving, parking, and site access instructions.

Program Activities

Students participate in supervised outdoor educational and recreational activities, which may include:

• Wilderness and outdoor skills
  • Nature exploration
  • Group games and team-building activities
  • Physical challenges and movement-based activities
  • Journaling and reflection
  • Supervised free play
  • Optional seasonal family campouts

Activities may vary depending on weather conditions, seasonal considerations, group needs, and site conditions.

Safety & Supervision

Safety is a core component of the program. Staff members:

• Complete background checks
  • Maintain CPR and First Aid certification
  • Receive training in outdoor safety, supervision, and incident reporting procedures

Students are expected to remain with the group, follow staff instructions, and stay within designated program boundaries at all times.

Emergency contact information and required enrollment forms must be completed for all participants prior to participation.

Respect for Property

Bigfoot Wilderness School operates on private property and relies on the cooperation and trust of the landowners.

All participants and families are expected to:

• Treat the land, facilities, animals, and equipment with care
  • Respect designated boundaries and restricted areas
  • Follow all site-specific rules and instructions
  • Leave gates and shared spaces as directed

Failure to follow program expectations or safety rules may result in dismissal from the program.

Enrollment & Participation

Enrollment requires completion of all required forms and agreement to all program policies and procedures.

Students are expected to participate in a safe and respectful manner and follow the program Code of Conduct.

If a student is unable to safely participate within program expectations, Bigfoot Wilderness School reserves the right to determine whether the program remains an appropriate fit for the student.
